Note: don't worry if you apply wrong IPv6 configuration, the Probe will fall back to auto configuration when it is unable to use manually specified addresses
On the Router login page (in O2 case 10.0.0.138) and check IPv6 LAN Prefix, it looks like 2a00:1028:1234:abcd::/64
From the Prefix you derive your Probe address and Gateway - the Gateway is always xxxx::1 and the Probe may be for example xxxx::2. If your prefix is 2a00:1028:1234:abcd::/64 than Gateway is 2a00:1028:1234:abcd::1 and Probe Address is 2a00:1028:1234:abcd::2
Go to RIPE Atlas management page and open you Probe, go to Network tab, and under IPv6 Current Configuration you should see current address of your Probe, such as 2a00:1028:1234:abcd:9876:5432:1098:7654/64 and Gateway as fe80::1. If your Probe has no IPv6 address assigned, it means IPv6 does not work in your environment and you will need to make it work first. If IPv6 autoconfiguration works fine, click EDIT. Enter the Address 2a00:1028:1234:abcd::2 and Gateway 2a00:1028:1234:abcd::1 as found in the previous step, Prefix Length is always 64, DNS Server is the same address as Gateway (2a00:1028:1234:abcd::1). You should end up with settings like this:
Click Save and wait some 20 minutes until the Probe reboots and reconnects
Now you should see your Probe back online and under Network tab you see your IPv6 config together with autoconfig, there are two Addresses and two Gateways. That's because the autoconfig is still in place, we need to turn it off, otherwise the Probe will always prefer the autoconfig address.
Turn off autoconfig (IPv6 RA) on the Router ZTE H267A
Find where your Probe is connected: on your Router open Advanced Setup > Local Network tab > Status menu > LAN Client Status header > find your "RIPE-Atlas-Probe-xxxx" and see what port it is connected to in this case it is LAN1
Turn off RA: open Advanced Setup > Local Network tab > LAN menu > IPv6 sub-tab > Port Control > uncheck RA for LAN1 (RA stands for Router Advertisement. No need to turn off DHCPv6 since Atlas Probes do not support it anyway) If you have you Probe connected to different port, make sure you switch RA off only for that port. If you accidentally turn RA off for another device, it may loose IPv6 connection, but it will not affect IPv4 connection.
Click Apply
Reboot your Router and the Probe (both unplug power for 10 seconds). TIP: I have the Probe powered from the Router's USB port, so no dedicated power adapter and cabling needed.
Wait for the Router and Probe come to life. The Probe may take up to 20 minutes
Now you should see only your configured IP address in the Probe management
On the Router LUCI Status page (in my case 192.168.1.1/cgi-bin/luci) check IPv6 WAN Status - Prefix Delegated, it looks like 2a01:1234:abcd:ef00::/56
From the Prefix you derive your Probe address and Gateway - the Gateway is always xxxx::1 and the Probe may be for example xxxx::2. If your prefix is 2a01:1234:abcd:ef00::/56 than Gateway is 2a01:1234:abcd:ef00::1 and Probe Address is 2a01:1234:abcd:ef00::2
Go to RIPE Atlas management page and open you Probe, go to Network tab, and under IPv6 Current Configuration you should see current address of your Probe, such as 2a01:1234:abcd:ef00:9876:5432:1098:7654/64 and some address as Gateway. If your Probe has no IPv6 address assigned, it means IPv6 does not work in your environment and you will need to make it work first. If IPv6 autoconfiguration works fine, click EDIT. Enter the Address 2a01:1234:abcd:ef00::2 and Gateway 2a01:1234:abcd:ef00::1 as found in the previous step, Prefix Length is always 64, DNS Server is the same address as Gateway (2a01:1234:abcd:ef00::1).
Turn off autoconfig (IPv6 RA) on the Router Turris Omnia
Plug the Probe to port LAN4. Remove Interface "Ethernet Switch: eth2" from LAN Interface. Create new Interface and attach "eth2" to it. Under DHCP Server for the new interface, IPv6 Settings, disable Router Advertisement-Service and DHCPv6-Service
Click Save & Apply
